The supporting documents attached to the Cotswold District Strategic Land Availability Assessment include the: Sites Database 2009; Cotswold SHLAA Methodology (March 2008); and Maps for each Settlement(s). The maps are grouped as follows: Cirencester; LSC - Local Service Centres; MT - Market Towns; RS - Rural Settlements; ST - Small Towns. The maps show the location of sites included in the SHLAA process and also constraints. The Cotswold SHLAA Report (October 2010) is also attached in PDF format to enable you to print the document if you wish.
The ‘Sites Database 2009’ is a Microsoft excel spreadsheet. At the bottom of the page there is a tab which takes you to a worksheet for each settlement or group of settlements.
Within each worksheet, the sites are ordered on their SHLAA reference number. These numbers can be used to identify the sites on the location maps. The information for each site is presented along the relevant row. You need to scroll from left to right to follow the progress of the site through the SHLAA process.
For example, Columns A to P present the results of the Desktop Survey. Columns Q to AH present the information collated from Part 1 of the Site Assessment Form. Columns AI to BC present Part 2 of the Site Assessments, including the comments of the Advisory Panel. Finally Columns BD to BF present the Conclusions of the Site Assessments.
Please note that in the Sites Database 2009, Column BC sets out the Advisory Panel’s conclusions, Column BE gives a capacity of a site (generally calculated at 30 dph, unless it has planning permission, or has been amended to take account of heritage and design advice). Column BF gives the Conclusion of the Site Assessment, taking into account further work that was carried out after the Advisory Panels had taken place e.g. strategic flood risk assessment, climate change maps, and heritage and design team advice.
(For information, the specific data columns that have been extracted from the Sites Database 2009 into the SHLAA Report tables in Appendix 1 are columns A, F, AO, AQ, AV, AW, BE, BC, BF).
