The Council is preparing a SHLAA to provide evidence to help support the delivery of sufficient land to meet the community’s housing needs through the preparation of the emerging Cotswold District Local Development Framework.
The SHLAA Methodology, published in March 2008, explains the approach that has been taken to provide this evidence base. For pragmatic reasons it has been decided to examine housing sites on a settlement by settlement basis and the documents published here present the sites assessed in Cirencester, the first settlement to be examined. These documents are not presented for consultation, but are a factual record of events. Further settlement documents will be published in the coming months, with the final SHLAA document due for publication at the end of October
